The puppet barge is back in  Richmond for the school summer holidays with daily shows at 2.30pm.

To make it more of an adventure for the kids you can arrive by boat. The Turk’s pier is just a couple of minutes walk – trips run daily from Kingston and Hampton Court.

Let’s take a quick look at what is happening.

Puppet Theatre Barge

Described as ‘one of London’s most elusive treasures’, the Puppet Barge captivates the imaginations of children and adults through an innovative world of puppetry and marionettes.

From July 25th to  the end of September the Puppet Barge will be located 500 yards up stream from Richmond Bridge – just a 2 minute walk from the Turks Pier.

Where to eat nearby

Pack a picnic to enjoy by the riverside. Or take a short walk up to the Terrace Gardens and Hollyhock Café. Its sister café TideTables i s also down on the riverfront. See Richmond Riverside in the Summer

Child boat trip offer

Hop on a Turks boat and take a trip to Kingston or Hampton Court Palace. Monday – Wednesday kids can  travel for free per full fare paying adult from Richmond to either Kingston or Hampton Court.
